2. Attach the Zener Diodes

Now it’s time to connect the Zener diodes that help to regulate the voltage. Place the diodes in the gaps between the cut portions of the copper wire. Take the soldering iron and solder the ends of the copper wire to the ends of the diodes. Keep one of the gaps open to connect the insulated wires.

In the third step, you have to connect the insulated wire to the copper wire. Connect two separate electrical wires with the two edges of the copper wire.

You should choose a sunny day for the experiment. Place the CD  facing the shiny side to the sun. Next, connect the voltmeter with the electric wire to the CD. The meter reading will be increasing to indicate that the CD panel is producing solar energy.
